Prime Time
The Prime Time Afterschool Program is a licensed school-age program that provides quality care for 5-11-year-olds, by 2-3 professionally qualified staff, for 24 children each day after school and non- instructional days when school is not in session.
The program gives children the opportunities to experience sports and recreation, creative arts, literacy, health and nutrition and personal growth. A balance of structured/free play and indoor/outdoor activities are provided each day. Transportation of children from school and for club activities is provided by 15 passenger vans. All Club staff are properly licensed to transport children.
Children learn to win, to lose, to cooperate and to lead through playing. Our belief is that play is child’s work and that many important developmental skills can be acquired through play. Each day we provide the children with activities designed to help them develop social skills, learn new skills and develop physically.
A monthly calendar is provided that includes program activities, experiences and community outings.

Wildwood Outdoor Afterschool Program – this program is temporarily closed due to COVID-19
The Wildwood Outdoor Afterschool Program is a school-age afterschool program that provides quality care, by 2 professionally qualified staff, for 16 children each day after school and on non- instructional days when school is not in session.
During the school year, Wildwood staff pick up children directly from school and drive to the daily location. This may be a forested area, a park, or a community garden (or, weather depending, it may be an indoor facility such as ARQ Mountain Centre or the Western Financial Place). The children are first given an opportunity to use an indoor bathroom facility. After this, the group heads to the outdoor location where healthy snacks are provided and the daily activities begin. A monthly calendar is provided so that families are aware of our location.
Wildwood takes a further step by abandoning permanent indoor structures altogether and encouraging children to engage with their environment in all seasons. The philosophy will remain as children learn through play, this open-ended play environment will provide an opportunity to engage in free and risky play in a natural setting.
Opportunities for programming across the four seasons for Wildwood include:
Hiking, apple picking, gardening, snowshoeing, swimming, shelter building, slacklining, indoor rock-climbing in the winter, pumpkin picking, orienteering, geocaching, and various trips to organizations and groups within the community.
